What will I learn?
By the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Apply simple functions of everyday devices — such as mobile phones, tablets, and laptops — along with practical apps and educational resources to enhance classroom teaching.
- Develop core digital skills by navigating learning platforms, applying basic cybersecurity practices, and evaluating educational technologies.
- Design inclusive and engaging digital learning experiences using interactive tools, and promote responsible and ethical online behaviour among students.
- Create accessible and interactive multimedia content, and ethically reuse Open Educational Resources (OER) in teaching.
- Promote academic integrity, design fair assessments, support ethical use of AI, and guide students in developing a positive digital footprint.
What’s involved
The course consists of five modules (Module 0 to Module 4). It is offered fully online and accommodates both entry-level and advanced educators in using technology to enhance their classroom teaching through two flexible learning pathways. Participants will explore practical strategies for inclusive, engaging, and ethical digital teaching while building confidence in using digital tools across varied teaching contexts.
Learning pathways
This course offers two flexible entry points to meet the needs of diverse educators:
- Pathway 1 – Start at Module 0
Ideal for teachers with minimal experience using digital technology. This pathway introduces practical ways to use basic tools such as mobile phones, tablets, or laptops to enhance classroom teaching. Participants may complete Module 0 only and earn a Certificate of Achievement, or continue to the remaining modules for full certification. - Pathway 2 – Start at Module 1
Designed for teachers who are already familiar with digital tools and want to deepen their knowledge of web-based applications and effective digital teaching practices. While they can begin directly at Module 1, participants may also choose to complete Module 0 as a refresher before proceeding. Completion of Modules 1–4 leads to a Certificate of Completion.
Certification
Participants who complete:
- Module 0 only will receive a Certificate of Achievement.
- Modules 1–4 (or 0–4) will receive a Certificate of Completion.
In addition, participants will earn a digital badge for each completed module, recognising key milestones and skills development.
