In this Unit, you learnt about the importance of human resources in an open school. You also learnt about some of the strategies you can use to identify human resource skills needed in your organisation. We hope that you can now use SWOT analysis to identify the niche your open school occupies in the education sector in your country and to be responsive enough to the education and training needs of your context. As an open schooling practitioner, it is envisaged that the unit gave you insights on the type of working conditions you should encourage to develop staff professionally and to retain that staff.

Based on the SWOT analysis activity you did in Activity 1, present a convincing argument to your Minister of Education on the resources you need to strengthen you open school in your country.
