This section provides information about the Pacific Partnership for Open, Distance and Flexible Learning, and the Digital Skills for Teaching in the 21st<\/sup> Century<\/b> (DS4TC21) online course.\n<\/p>\n

About the Pacific Partnership for Open, Distance and Flexible Learning<\/span><\/h2>\n

Partnership for Open, Distance and Flexible Learning<\/a> (ODFL) in the Pacific is a 5-year project (2020 \u2013 2025) funded by the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Trade to support enhancing capacity and efficiency of education sectors in the Pacific through greater use of innovative delivery mechanisms and technology.\n<\/p>\n

The Commonwealth of Learning (COL<\/a>), together with the Pacific Centre for Flexible and Open Learning for Development (PACFOLD<\/a>) are implementing the initiative.\n<\/p>\n

About DS4TC21<\/span><\/h2>\n

This course equips Pacific TVET and secondary teachers with practical digital skills to enhance inclusive, engaging, and ethical teaching using everyday technologies and online tools. Upon successful completion of the microcourse, participants will be able to integrate digital tools into hands-on, competency-based teaching to improve learner engagement, increase accessibility, and promote responsible digital citizenship, particularly in low-resource and blended learning environments relevant to their own teaching settings. The course is designed with flexibility in mind, offering two entry points to match your experience and confidence with digital tools.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Ideal for those who are already comfortable with basic tools and want to build deeper skills.\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Note:<\/b><\/i> If you complete the full course (Modules 1\u20134 or Modules 0\u20134), you will not receive two certificates. Only the Certificate of Completion will be awarded. A separate Certificate of Achievement for Module 0 will not be issued. The Certificate of Achievement is awarded exclusively to learners who complete Module 0 and then exit the course.<\/i>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

Choosing your learning pathway<\/span><\/h3>\n

This course offers two flexible entry points. You may choose the one that best matches your experience and confidence level with digital technologies.\n<\/p>\n

\nPathway 1 \u2013 Start at Module 0<\/b>
\nIdeal if you have limited experience using digital tools. This pathway introduces practical strategies for using everyday technologies such as mobile phones, tablets, and laptops to enhance classroom teaching. You may choose to complete only Module 0 to earn a Certificate of Achievement, or continue to Modules 1 to 4 to work toward full certification.\n<\/p>\n

\nPathway 2 \u2013 Start at Module 1<\/b>
\nThis pathway is designed for you if you\u2019re already using digital tools and want to strengthen your skills in web-based applications and effective digital teaching practices. You can begin directly at Module 1, or optionally complete Module 0 as a refresher before continuing. Completing Modules 1 to 4 will earn you a Certificate of Completion.\n<\/p>\n
