Module 2
Imagine youâre teaching the equipment safety lesson from Module 1, but some students with diverse learning needs feel left out or disengaged, perhaps due to low literacy levels, language barriers, or different learning preferences. How can you ensure that every student feels included and able to participate?
In this module, youâll learn how to design more inclusive and engaging digital learning experiences that support all learners in developing trade skills. Inclusive teaching is especially important in TVET settings, where learners come from varied backgrounds and may face different challenges.
Youâll explore how to apply Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles, use digital tools to improve student engagement and collaboration, and foster digital citizenship by teaching respectful, responsible, and ethical online behaviour.
This module focuses on developing foundational digital skills, enabling you to enhance teaching and learning in your Pacific TVET classroom. By the end of this module, you will be able to:
- Apply Universal Design for Learning (UDL) principles to design inclusive digital learning experiences.
- Integrate digital tools (e.g., videos, virtual simulations) to enhance student engagement and collaboration.
- Foster digital citizenship among students by teaching responsible and ethical online behaviour.
