Before posting on the discussion forums, please ensure that you have read and understood these guidelines on netiquette:\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li> All posts should be in the English language only.\n<\/li>\n<li> Avoid using textspeak, such as \u201cur\u201d for \u201cyour\u201d or \u201cru\u201d for \u201care you\u201d etc. It is only acceptable when texting.\n<\/li>\n<li> Use complete sentences and standard English grammar to compose posts, write in proper paragraphs and review your work before submitting it.\n<\/li>\n<li> When replying to a posting, quote the part of the original posting to which you are replying to help classmates understand the context.\n<\/li>\n<li> Avoid one word or single phrase responses. Use complete sentences.\n<\/li>\n<li> Write in a professional and courteous manner, even if you must disagree with any other person. Keep your interactions friendly, especially as you\u2019re getting to know each other. <br \/>You can show courtesy during your online conversation by following these tips:\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div style=\"padding-left:2.8em\">\n<ul>\n<li> Do not dominate any discussion. Give other students the opportunity to join in the discussion.\n<\/li>\n<li> Never make fun of someone\u2019s ability to read or write.\n<\/li>\n<li> Share tips with other students.\n<\/li>\n<li> Keep an \u201copen-mind\u201d and be willing to express even your minority opinion. Minority opinions must be respected.\n<\/li>\n<li> Do not hesitate to ask for feedback.\n<\/li>\n<li> Using humor is acceptable but be careful that it is not misinterpreted.\n<\/li>\n<li> Avoid sarcasm.\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<ul>\n<li> Use capital letters sparingly. Using all CAPITAL letters online is the equivalent of yelling.\n<\/li>\n<li> Avoid posting anything that is defamatory, discriminatory, abusive, hateful or offensive towards any other person or institute.\n<\/li>\n<li> Ensure that your posts do not invade someone\u2019s privacy.\n<\/li>\n<li> Assume any comment you read that sounds abrasive was not proofread for tone and was not meant to offend. If you are upset, you might wait a little before posting a hasty reply that you may regret later.\n<\/li>\n<li> Be aware of cultural differences.
